Introducing the Campus Scholars Program

A new initiative to get students directly involved in shaping monfse.com and helping bring it to campuses around the world.

Today, we're rolling out a new initiative to get more students directly involved in shaping monfse.com and helping bring it to campuses around the world.

Four years ago, we founded our first business – a consulting firm called Sourced Economics. The goal was simple: build a bridge between academia and business, and help organizations make better decisions using insights from economic and management science.

Fast forward to today: we're now a venture-funded software company building cutting-edge AI tools for a global community of researchers.

But our mission remains the same – to elevate the way research is done, shared, and taught.

As part of that mission, we announced this morning a new effort to strengthen our ties with universities, research labs, and academic communities everywhere.

Why We're Launching Campus Scholars

The monfse.com Campus Scholars Program brings students into the core of our product development and outreach efforts. Students and early-career researchers are often the earliest adopters of new research technologies – they test, refine, challenge, and spread ideas faster than any marketing campaign ever could.

The program is our way of working directly with that community, rather than building tools in isolation.

What the Role Actually Looks Like

The arrangement is intentionally lightweight, flexible, and built around student life.

Time commitment: A couple hours per week

Location: On-campus activities + remote communication with our team

Main responsibilities include:

  • Running short demos or walk-throughs for peers, labs, and campus groups
  • Creating short video explainers or quick product clips
  • Hosting small workshops, office hours, or informal meetups
  • Engaging with libraries, research centers, or student groups when appropriate
  • Providing structured product feedback and insights about campus research workflows
  • Helping us understand how academic communities discover and adopt new tools

The role centers on supporting research communities on campus and giving our team a clearer view into how workflows evolve in real academic settings.

What Students Get Out of It

We want the experience to be genuinely useful – something that builds both skills and confidence.

Participants receive:

  • Hands-on experience with a venture-funded AI research-tech company
  • Full free access to monfse.com Core during the program
  • A featured profile on our company site as part of the Campus Scholars cohort
  • Skill-building in product, research workflows, communication, and technical storytelling
  • LinkedIn recommendation + letter of recommendation + professional referral upon completion
  • Priority consideration for future internships or full-time roles
  • monfse.com swag (shirts, laptop stickers, etc.)
  • A visible role on campus helping peers navigate the rapid changes in research technology

For students exploring careers in research, consulting, data, libraries, or product, the role mirrors the kind of work modern research teams do every day.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for students who are curious, proactive, and comfortable helping others navigate new tools. Graduate students and early-career researchers make especially strong fits, but the program is open to anyone who cares about better research workflows.

Inspired by Earlier Campus Models

We're building on a proven approach.

Programs like:

demonstrated how students can accelerate adoption, improve the tools they use, and gain valuable hands-on experience.

The monfse.com Campus Scholars Program adapts that model for today's research environment, where collaboration and shared input matter. If you'd like to contribute and help shape how monfse.com grows on campus, you can apply on LinkedIn.
